Wonderful photographers, let’s make your feed shine!
Let’s wow your followers – and clients.
And let’s make it easier for you to plan your posts too!
Here are 9 beautiful Instagram feed ideas for photographers.
Let’s start!Tip: You can use Preview App to plan your posts, Reels, thumbnails, and Instagram Stories too. This is the app I used to create some of the feeds below!
Feed idea #1. Branded Beauty
This first idea is completely based on your own style as a photographer.
Do you use a signature filter? What is your branding style? Color theme?
- Clean, minimalist, white theme: @mndyphotography
- Warm moody theme: @tanyawilson.photographer
- Colorful theme: @morganemilyjane
- Sweet pastel theme: @hikari_lifestyle_photography
Feed idea #2. Tiles
This is one of my favorite Instagram feed ideas for photographers.
Because it is so easy to maintain.
All you have to do is select 2 different types of posts, and alternate between them.
You can alternate:
- Quotes and photos, or
- Black & white and color photos like @ninaclairephotographer
Feed idea #3. Rows
Another fun Instagram feed idea for photographers is to post one photo shoot per row . Or one event per row. This way, each row represents a different story.
For example, if you are a wedding photographer, you can post about one wedding per row.
Feed idea #4. Columns
Think of your Instagram grid as having 3 columns.
You can post 3 different things in these columns.
People love to post quotes in the middle column:
Feed idea #5. Promotional Posts
This is such a great idea!
Share important information or your next availability in a post, amongst your other photos.
@hellourbansafari does this. They share when their next headshot photoshoot sessions are:
Feed idea #6. Rainbow theme
Ok, this is one of my FAVORITE feed ideas.
It makes me want to scroll, and scroll, and scroll through your feed because it is SO satisfying!
If you have a lot of photos saved up, and you can organize them by color, why not try a Rainbow Instagram Feed ?
Feed idea #7. Puzzle
Another one of my favorites!
There are so many ways you can split images to create an amazing Puzzle Feed.
Look at these feeds I created using Preview App :
Feed idea #8. Reels
I had to show a feed idea that includes Reels . Because let’s be honest, Reels are all the rage on Instagram.
So if you feel like sharing some Reels, try this out!
You could post Reels in the middle Column, or create a Tile effect:Tip: Use Preview to plan your Reels, preview your Reels feed and your main grid. Choose the perfect thumbnail for your Reels before you post on Instagram too!
Feed idea #9. Carousel trick
Want a unique feed?
Create a black and white feed.
But with a trick!
Each post is a carousel.
The first photo in the carousel is the black and white photo.
The second is the same photo, but with colors.
This idea can truly make your feed stand out from the crowd, and make people stay longer on your posts.Tip: Plan your carousel with Preview App too! This way you can test this theme and see if you like it, before you start posting on Instagram.
Feed idea #10. Pops of personal
And lastly, a lot of photographers share photos from their photoshoots and wonderful clients.
Which leaves us scrolling to see… you! The person who we need to trust the most for our big photoshoot day.
So why not share your face more often too?
For example, you could say hello every second row, like this:
Have fun creating your feed!
I hope these gave you some inspiration.
Have a ton of fun creating your feed and sharing your beautiful photos with your followers.
And I hope you will love it as much as I do!
