Is Jumia Scamming Kenyans again with the Ksh.5 Oppo F5 Smartphone?

Remember back in 2017 when Jumia was giving or rather selling the renown Samsung Galaxy s8 for Ksh.5($0.05)? Well, they are back again with the Oppo F5 that would typically cost you around Ksh.50,000($500) claiming you can own it at the cheapest price ever.

The deal here is that you visit Jumia’s website and search for the product among thousands and thousands of other products in order to claim the prize in case you find it first.

I can’t tell for sure if this is a scam or not but from Jumia’s past deals of such kind, Kenyans on twitter seem to be smelling something fishy going on here because those people who win themselves these prizes seem to be coming from ‘ghost accounts’.

Accounts that don’t seem to have any kind of activity going on would raise many questions especially when you are taking other peoples time for granted.

I hope this does not turn out to be a scam because Jumia would really hurt their reputation countrywide since such thing is watched by everyone who is either on Facebook or Twitter.
